形態特徵

• Annual with fibrous roots only. Culms solitary or 2 or 3 together, erect, slender, 10-50 cm tall, trigonous, smooth.
• Leaves 1-3 to a culm, much shorter than culm; blades narrowly linear, 2-4 mm wide, weakly folded; sheaths pale-green and stained with red-brown.
• Corymbs simple, 4-10 cm long, with 2 to 6 slender rays 3-12 cm long; spikes broadly ovate to deltoid, 1-2.5 cm long, 0.8-3 cm wide, bearing 6 to 24 spikelets; leafy bracts narrowly linear, 1 or 2 lowest surpassing corymb. Spikelets subloosely disposed, patent, linear to linear-lanceolate, 7-15 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, flattened, brownish, 8- to 20-flowered; rachilla with whitish hyaline wings.
• Glumes orbicular-obovate, 1.2-1.5 mm long, rounded at conspicuously mucronate apex, thinly herbaceous, brownish, 5-nerved, keel green and ridged. Achenes obovate to oblong-obovate, trigonous, slightly shorter than glume, maturing dark brown; style short; stigmas 3. Stamens 3.

分布

• 台灣 : Rare in Taiwan. Cultivated grounds, waste places and grassy hillsides.
• 世界 : Endemic to eastern Asia from Amur and Ussuri and Japan to southern China.
